hm ..... just the scraches stand out too much ... and try to add more details

i don't know how to add details like doors or smth like that. i can't do this with skinning, only with modelling. that's my problem. your skins are great, how can you add these details that they look so nice/real? you have no normal map but it looks good, and the deepness is still there only with black/grey tones. i'm wondering how u makie this?

well, at the beginning i just followed some tutorials to make the skin .

try using some bevel and emboss plus outer glow , and do some painting .
